Yesterday, I finally added WShGS to my Facebook profile. I had been on an adding spree for sites about middle- to upper-atmosphere phenomena, then suddenly realized that there was nothing about the great WShGS. How could I have not done it before? Immediately I put down the WShGS URL, and the frame for adding your comments to the site before posting it appeared. Where you would find an image selected from the site to be the thumbnail I saw an LCM.
Now, what might be aloof about this situation? Quite a lot, I think. The particular LCM of picture in question is my profile pic, which you can spot under the 'About me' column. What significance does it have? Of course when you look at it you think 'JY' and 'Land of JY,' there's nothing wrong with that. LCM is one of the greatest symbols of the Land of JY after all. And therein lies the problem.
In the end, I did leave the picture of LCM as the thumbnail for WShGS, but the incident left me some things to think about. As I said, LCM represents the Land of JY. Though he is technically younger than BCG, (Yep, take note, this is LoJY history.) LCM has a far stronger bond with the Land, and me, than anything else, and that is the way things are.
To use LCM to represent WShGS as well, wouldn't be stretching things a little? After all, your mind does link things together in very mysterious ways. Just like you form strong bonds between specific landmarks and places, single landmark cannot be related to too many different locations, as the bonds get shared and weakened. The same goes for LCM.
In the interest of LCM's significance and what he means, and as part of the ongoing greater WShGS 2.0 project, I have thus decided to include the creation of a unique WShGS logo into the plans.
The new face of WShGS.
