Pine-Watermelons!

Wow it's a whole new kind of fruit!

Watermelons! But then... Are those pineapple stalks on top? Eek, what sort of monster fruit is this? Could it be a result of some farmer-who-has-too-much-free-time's genetic experiments, crossing watermelons and pineapples? Nah, there's no what you could get such a result like this from cross-breeding. Then how about-- Why didn't I think of it before! Of course this picture is photoshopped!

Now, now. I shall have to step in. I, as JY, would never resort to photoshopping as a lowly tactic of gathering hits. Well, at least until I learn to use Photoshop well enough to do that. But that will be a long time. As for you, you should have guessed something else. Grafting would have been quite close.

Not that I can do grafting either. The truth is, I was with my parents grocery shopping at Fairprice a whole ago when I passed the watermelons section, which is located next to pineapples at Marine Parade. There, in the middle of the two sections, stuck in the border, where a couple of pineapple heads. Then, with a little balancing prowess (That's me!) and a camera on hand...
